Green panorama

Normally we come to Aspen to ski during the winter season but this year we went during the summer. One full week of gorgeous weather and spending lots of time outdoors.

While we were there, we were able to see the partial solar eclipse! Such a cool experience as we felt the temperature drop by a good five to eight degrees (at least).

In town strolling around..

And of course stopping at my fav Paradise bakery getting some afternoon pick-me-ups. They always have a big plate of sweets to nibble over the counter :P

Sunshine and greenery makes me happy hehe

Taking the gondola up Ajax mountain.

Taking the bus to Maroon Bells and taking alot of beautiful scenic photos around Maroon Lake. Nice place to walk around, not too strenuous for pregger me at 23 weeks. Anything too steep I did have to take my time in order to catch my breath.

Another activity was walking to Pine Creek Cookhouse for lunch. Although the menu rarely changes which is a bummer, the route we take walking there is always the main highlight.

Getting some vitamin C and breathing in some crisp mountain air :P

Walking back we experienced some hail..always bring a fleece or warm jacket just in case,

Although I was advised not to go white water rafting by the family, I did manage to go fly fishing for the very first time hehe. Surprisingly fun probably because I actually caught something!

yay check it out!! :D

Catching and releasing my first rainbow trout.

Being the city slicker that I am who rarely goes to the local market to buy fresh fish or meat, I was scared to hold the fish at first. Priceless 'eeek' expression lol..

Nervous but very happy at the same time.

Aspen Art Museum

Craving alot more carbs than usual on this trip especially spaghetti bolognese or sharing some cacio e pepe.

Saying goodbye to this quaint town that we come to enjoy together over the past five years.. Don't know when I'll be back again in the summer but I sure want to try white water rafting.. It's always been on my bucket list of things to do. Until next time!

oh baby!

Soon to be a family of three :)  J and I moving on to the next incredible adventure in life also known as parenthood. After brushing it off whenever people ask us when we're having kids, we always replied 'oh we're planning' but actually we just weren't ready yet and wanted our own alone time to travel n' do the things we wanted to do..

After taking the DNA test at week 11 and learning the baby's gender, I got matching baby and daddy swimming trunks as a surprise :) so darn adorable hehe

Gosh, the first time I saw the list of things to buy for the baby I was totally overwhelmed. This was us one weekend when we popped our heads into a baby supply store for the very first time to see what we've gotten ourselves into...

I don't know about other mothers but every time before I see the doctor for our monthly check-ups, I get really nervous about whether the baby is doing okay and healthy. It's always such a relief when we hear that everything is progressing nicely along.

Over the summer we did a small renovation to fix a few items around the house including our future baby room! For the longest time the room was our storage area and a complete mess. We finally cleared everything up, installed a new air conditioner and applied a fresh coat of paint.

Some birthday and baby gender reveal fun with friends. Cake leftovers symbolize the baby's % of Chinese and Persian blood. hehe

Baby shower at Sevva with friends and family at 28 weeks :)

Girlie time and feeling very blessed to be surrounded by so much love.

Our obstetrician snapped this 4D scan during one of our check-ups and we were both so blown away because we weren't expecting to see his face.. We can't wait to meet our little one in December :P
