How far would you go...

1. To change your way of life?
2. To give up something that you love?
3. To make a stand in the world around you?

So this past weekend we saw this documentary called 'Vegucated' and it was so informative & overwhelming at the same time. I know J fell asleep half way through so when he woke up he said the whole world changed when I said" I'm seriously going to consider becoming vegetarian". haha From now on I'll definitely make smarter food choices and cut back on all meats and even seafood. I know I'll never ever become vegan because telling me to give up on eggs, diary, white sugar & even some breads (omgawd) would be impossible although a detox week I can probably muster under my breath. From here onwards what I know I can do is eat more salads and vegetables which I already do during lunch and various meals throughout the day. For breakfast I usually eat a fruit like orange or kiwi (sometimes when I have sugar cravings I buy a 3 dollar bolobao from 'Happy Cake Shop' still fresh and hot from the oven hehe). For lunch it's usually one of the following a) Pret Au Manger soup, b) Just Salad, c) Life Deli or d) Subway. Dinner with J has always been simple Subway delivery. We have it on speed-dial and they should seriously give us some freebies since we've significantly raised their monthly revenue from 2011. It's funny how we never get sick of our 6" Turkey and foot long Roast Chicken. What can you eat every week and never get bored of? :P After this weekend I really wish there were more western vegetarian restaurants in HK. Anyways, the right way to go is have a balanced diet and not go too extreme on either ends of the scale. That's a true lib ran speaking for ya. ;)

So my mom told me that I don't post enough photos nowadays so here we go with some updates from last week when we went to Ocean Park on a spontaneous Sunday. It was gorgeously warm and sunny, but unfortunately J forgot to put sunscreen so he got a tad sunburnt. hehe We stayed for just a few hours as we had to catch a movie at 3pm but it's nice to live so close to the park and pop by for some fun.

Beautiful south side.

This new ride called Hair Raiser was pretty fun!! Despite the fact that we both gobbled down our lunch 15 minutes beforehand and felt a bit dizzy afterwards..it was a 3 thumbs up and obviously glad that we didn't throw up our food:D

Over on the other side of the mountain, it was surprisingly uncrowded which is amazing because all the crazy rides that we wanted to go on was just 5 minutes wait.

BUMPER CARS! There's something really nostalgic about this :)

The Old Hong Kong section has officially opened and it really felt like you went back to the 1950 or 60's. Very groovy.

What it'd be like if I had to ride my bike around carrying bags of rice.

Or selling tomatoes and fruits on the street. Come one come all yo!

Can someone please help me translate what this means? :P

Spot the crazy lady with the feather duster. hehehee

Alrighty, can't wait for Wednesday to arrive. Have 2 days off this week from my 2011 leave carry overs and planning to spend some time with my girlfriends. Until then, have a good week :P

Flashback

Wow, it's been a while but I'm back with an entry full of instagram photos. hehe It's so convenient to take these photos from my iPhone. If you could go back in time, this is what you'd see.

02.14.2012 Happy Valentines Day :) We cooked a scrumptious meal together and made our signature three cheese mushroom caps because we love them too darn much to not have it as an entree. *omnomnom We've been trying to cook a little more *ahem like once a week. :P I think we've mastered our minestrone soup and grilled salmon. Healthy and yummy all at the same time. I wonder how many DINK couples in Hong Kong go home after work and still have the energy to cook dinner? Most of the time we just order Subway or Ebeneezers...We should seriously become VVIP at Subway by now..since we're such regulars!

Totally random - My new running shoes (looking super Tron-like and spiffy), XTC gelato with sprinkles on a TGIF night, Dragon's Back on a windy sunday, Mia after her first hike, La Creperie for lunch and simple flowers from the market place. :)

Two memorable places..Robatazawazawa and Liberty Private Works. LPW has got to be my current fav place to dine with its impressive fusion menu :) The place has this small open kitchen where you can sit and watch them prepare the food in front of ya. I will definitely go back one day to splurge on a wonderful meal.

J's in Nuremberg this week and missing him dearly.. Usually I get to see him 4-5 times a week so with him not being around it just feels so quiet and slow. Can't wait until he's back on Wednesday with a bag (hopefully) full of gingerbread cookies! haha I did my research and it's apparently the "gingerbread capital of the WORLD" omgawd :D~ Unfortunately he says he's only been able to find Haribos over there? haha No thanks I get enough Haribos here in HK :P Nehoo had a lil pamper session today and feeling quite relaxed, typing away on my laptop listening to emo music =')
