Flowers of November

What a colorful month its been, can finally relax abit this weekend. Really looking forward to Dec when cooler weather comes round.

Blue hues for K's bridal shower. Brunch at 208 Duecento Otto with the girlies

My first time flower arranging..its surprisingly fun although we were all quite unsure how to start at the very beginning. Just push through with the first stem and remember what Lowdi said about line & mass.

It's all coming together =)

Ta da, my finished product. Not too shabby for my first time right?

All the best :) #kj1120

Make a wish

So, it's time to wind down a little with the year coming to end soon and to look back at the past two months with appreciation and gratitude. Feeling extremely blessed to celebrate so many happy moments with friends and family.. =)

To keep the tradition going strong, Indian food for my big birthday! I think it started back in 2007 or 2008 when I came back to Hong Kong and went with Flow for a quiet girls dinner. Since then my favourite Indian restaurant in Hong Kong is Bombay Dreams :D Let me know if you have other good recommendations that I should try.

Happy days with the fambam

What's in store for next year? Wishing for more wonderful adventures and happy memories

Brunch with the SC girls at Boqueria. Good food which felt like it kept on coming as part of their buffet all-you-can-eat. *oink yummy dessert with chocolate churros.

:)

J's super duper awesome homemade cha siu rice for my bday. OMG SO good...

Mm..one of my fav cakes of all time, angel cake from Maxims made two thick layers of soft sponge cake and a surround layer of fresh cream. For added sweetness, can't forget the crunchy caramel bits.

Flow's bridal shower, lovely dinner at Le Marron. Can't believe we're all back in HK to celebrate this special milestone.

Raspberry inspired treats from Sift.

Yay its the big day! Celebrating with close friends over an intimate Vietnamese lunch.

Congratulations to the sweetest couple. All the best Flow & Ken =)

Here's to happily ever after~

The brief encounter

Brunch time, nothing like fresh yukhoe (beef tartare) mixed with an egg and sweet pears

 Stopping by Gyeongbokgung

Can you tell how happy I am?

So simple and yet so beautiful. Wish time would just slow down right here

Break time at O'sulloc at the Insadong branch, a three story tea house specialising in Korean green tea that hails from Jeju islands. We sat down on the second floor and enjoyed some tea and desserts

My fav matcha green tea ice cream, not too sweet or milky.

Spongey green tea cake roll with a filling that's sorta like half frozen mousse/cream.

My first time getting a caricature done. Our guy smirking at us each time he looks at us as we wait for the big reveal.

Na-ha :D So apparently K has a square face vs my pointier chin.

Lunch at Korea House.

Lo ban hai ngo.

*Ta daa, the food has arrived.

Such a nice to getaway and I'm totally craving kimbap right now. Until next time :)

Seoul girls getaway

Five years ago I went to Tokyo & Osaka with my bestie right after I came back to Hong Kong in June 2007. Fast forward eight years, we're both in our prime years and one of us is counting down to getting married! With less than a month to go until the big day, we treated ourselves to a weekend getaway in Seoul with lots of rest and delicious food. =)

We took an early CX flight to Seoul and hopped onto the 6701 KAL limo bus to Lotte Hotel, a centrally located spot near the City Hall and Myeong Dong, one of the main shopping and tourism districts in the city. When we got to our hotel, we were welcomed by some very civilised protesters and police men.

After checking in we were famished and gobbled up this sesame flavoured gimbap right next to our hotel.

We loved having a freshly squeezed lemon juice with no sugar every day.

Our first stop was Hongik University area where we found a photo sticker store! Just like the good old days.

Omgosh, possibly the freshest, crispiest and tastiest churros ever. Cinnamon sugar and dark chocolate with almonds.

My first time trying kimchi pancake. I usually get seafood pancake but I like it :]

So many snacks and street stalls on Fri to Sunday. We stopped by on Monday morning and there were no street stalls at all.

Tried a Fiber mini - it works! ;P

Facial at Sulwhasoo. Haven't had a proper facial in over a year..oops.

I did not have this but I did devour something half the size. Next time I'll come hungry..hehe This place is as good as the waffle I had 5 years ago. YUM!

Hanbing with cheesecake that's larger than an iphone 6 plus. O__o! So much great cafes and love the food. For people who don't like spicy flavours, I wonder how they'll survive here? For me, its like heaven, love food with a nice kick.
