First time visiting Discovery Bay on the Lantau Island yesterday and went hiking from the starting point of Mui Wo. Think we went on the traditional route, not through the scrubs that this website mentions [here] Ended the easy hike in around 2 hours and checked out D Deck which is a nice dining area with outdoor patios catering to the expat community. Lots of children running around and there's a nice lil beach right beside it. I like it there and the place gives off a relaxing vibe like Sai Kung but an even safer and cohesive community. Plus it doesn't feel like you're in HK but it only takes 25 minutes to get back to Central! There's a pretty awesome ongoing promotion right now whereby if you spend $100 dollars at any one of their 15 designated restaurants you get a free ferry voucher back back to Central. Go check it out ;)

Candles on the beach. So pretty..
I am unwritten,
Can't read my mind
I'm undefined
I'm just beginning
The pen's in my hand
Ending unplanned

Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten.

I've listened to this song on the radio about a hundred times in the past but this week when it came up on my iPod, I felt 'whoaa' this song is so speaking to me. Why?? For the most part I went running in the rain on monday evening and every few minutes I was wiping the rain from my eyes and face. The feeling was so...amazing and 'song' in canto. haha Felt completely bare and when one looks up, you can only see darkness and the illuminated rain droplets from the street lights. And secondly my manager last week left me a nice diary on my table and wrote on a post-it note saying: 'thank you peggy and go write all of your happy memories here'. That was really sweet of her. =) Since moving back I now have 3 completed diaries..

Currently listening to Donell Jones and I have so many cravings like bubble tea, mcdonalds (man I havent had a filet o fish in months!), yee sern ginger steam milk, hot chocolate/cupcakes! Must savor this long weekend and sucks that my dad always refuses to go cycling with me.. =( He says he has to save energy for his badminton games on Sunday evenings. Boooo.. if I lived in TaiMeiTuk I would go biking every weekend (by myself even) because its not as strenuous as running.

What started off as a lazy Sunday afternoon..

Brunch @ Classified: $91
Bus & MTR: $12ish
Drink from 7-11: $7
Bike Rental: $50 - I loved my bike.
...Riding for a good few hours in the rain, getting SPF25 into my eyes (come on I thought it might get sunny when I was leaving the house at 8am!) &thus temporarily suffered from right eye blindness/burn, feeling the cool breeze whip up against you as your cycle onwards trying to finish the route and accumulate goosebumps while stupid bus drivers don't understand the concept 'let's be more eco-friendly by consuming less energy' but instead lets freeze up our passengers? ...Priceless.

If I start feeling ill tonight, I think I deserve it. XP

Btw, I love the soundtrack from the 500 Days of Summer. Although I felt kinda sad after the movie, listening to the songs again makes me chirpy like 'Sugar Town' & 'Here Comes your Man'. How cute.

Boom boom pow! hehe Some traditions never go out of style like watching the National Day fireworks with Karen's family and eating Indian food on my bday. =) I remember doing the exact same thing last year and surely will be doing the same if I'm around next year. Thanks for all the thoughtful gifts and each has its own one of a kind reaction. I had a really good one and I wouldn't trade my awesome friends for the world. If you're mean to them I would be like Charlotte who thinks of ways to curse Mr. Big if she ever sees him again. hehehee

Only managed to capture ONE good photo, and it was the first photo taken that night.

<3

First official documented jog ;)
3.08Km run in 17:58 at a pace of 5:49/Km

Woke up at 7am today because I couldn't really sleep. I guess I'm feeling a little giddy like a kid waiting to get up before Christmas. So kicked off the sheets and charged up my new spiffy sports band and went out for a quick jog at 9.30am =P I didn't stop this time except for one traffic light and went at a really steady pace focusing on relaxing my arms and breathing slowly. Hopefully in 2-3 weeks time I can do 5km without taking a break. I think I can do it. heehee

Goals:
Run by myself 2-3x per week
Run with Yves & H at Bowen Road once a week and TRY NOT to eat the dust like last time.

And thank you for the calls, texts and messages. Write more love later because I've got to leave the house now. Have a great day and even better weekend. The sun is out and I'm going out to enjoy it. <3

Always with love,
Pegz
